I am from Moscow, Idaho, a small but beautiful town in northern Idaho known for lentils, Appaloosa horses and the University of Idaho.  I have lived in Vista for twenty-five years now and enjoy the area of northern San Diego County where life is a little slower paced and quieter.  I am blessed with a 25-year-old son who is an air traffic controller in Pendleton, Oregon and a 22-year-old daughter who is in the FBI Academy now in Quantico, Virginia.

I have been teaching for twelve years now and have been working in the education system for eighteen years (this is my 7th year at HGCS).  I thoroughly enjoy teaching here at HGCS, as I am able to facilitate the many learning styles of my students everyday using Howard Gardner’s Theories of Multiple Intelligences.  Watching the growth of the student’s minds and character is awe-inspiring, reminding me how much I love my job and how much I admire the parents, staff, and children I get to work with every year.  I am so honored to have each and every one of your children in my class, and am looking forward to a great year with this bright and energetic group of students.
