I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies (Elementary Education) with a Specialization in Human Development (Special Education) from San Diego State University in 2014. My focus upon receiving my Mild/Moderate Credential pertained to positive behavioral supports in inclusive classrooms. I have experience working as a 1:1 Special Education Aide, Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Therapist, and Special Education Assistant. I’ve also worked in before/after school programs and taught hip hop dance to a variety of ages. I have and will always be an advocate for my students and their needs. The one thing I always knew I wanted to be in life was a teacher. I currently serve as Howard Gardner Community School’s Special Education Coordinator and TK-3 Education Specialist.
I believe in honoring Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences by teaching my students to the best of their abilities and talents! My goal in life is to make learning meaningful and to have a positive impact on all of my students as I am learning from them every day. I’m incredibly happy and thankful to be a part of such a wonderful community here at HGCS!
In my off time, I love dancing at local studios, singing, learning new instruments, Filipino martial arts, freelance makeup artistry, boxing, traveling, cooking, and so much more!
