I am thrilled to have the privilege of being a part of the amazing Special Education cohort here at Howard Gardner Community School as the Education Specialist (intern) for grades TK -5 . I started working at HGCS toward the end of 2016 as a paraprofessional aide and am now in a new role, working closely with your students to help them reach their goals. I am a San Diego Native and have completed my Bachelors Degree in Human Services with an emphasis in Family and Child Services in 2014. I am currently working on obtaining a Masters Degree and Teaching credential in Special Education. I absolutely love working with children!! I have many years experience in a Special Education environment since my grandmother and mother are in the SPED teaching realm. I believe that children not only have a plethora of knowledge to obtain from adults, but in return, have plenty to offer adults as well. Every child is unique in his or her own way and I believe that Howard Gardner encompasses the necessary tools through the utilization of its Theory of Multiple Intelligences to help shape a promising future for our future leaders.
