About Our Program

HGCS offers support to all students! Our school counselor works with students on Social and Emotional Learning. She can be found anywhere from inside a classroom doing an SEL lesson or in her office speaking to a student who has had a hard day. She works one on one with students for individual counseling and in a small group depending on the need. During sessions we work on topics such as coping strategies, social skills, self control, and more. She also works with students and families to get connected to outside counseling services and resources if necessary. Our program collaborates with teachers, admin, other staff, and parents to support our students.
