Abby Keegan

6th Grade Teacher

Hi everyone! My name is Abby Keegan, and I have the privilege of teaching 6th grade at HGCS this year! I couldn't be more excited to join the team and am looking forward to an amazing school year. I was born and raised in Clairemont, right here in San Diego, with my mom, dad, and three sisters. I've always wanted to be a teacher, so I earned my B.A. in Liberal Studies from CSU Monterey Bay in 2022 before returning home to complete my M.Ed. and Teaching Credential in 2024. Since then, I've had the opportunity to teach 3rd, 5th, and now (again!) 6th grade! I'm so excited to continue my love for teaching sixth graders here at HGCS! Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with my partner and our two rescue pups, Sunny and Lucy. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, swimming, playing water polo (which I played collegiately during my undergrad!), and trying new local restaurants around San Diego.
