In 2009, my family and I arrived to the United States from Iraq, seeking peace, love, and a brighter future. Fortunately, I have found all of that here. Since 2014, I have been proud to work at HGCS now as an Administrative/Nutrition Assistant. Each day, I strive to ensure that administrative tasks are handled efficiently while also promoting healthy and nourishing meals for our students. During my time in the U.S., I earned two degrees: an A.A. in Social Work from Cuyamaca College and an A.A. in Social Behavioral Science from Grossmont College. Beyond my work at the front desk, you can also find me assisting students in the Health Office. Though I lead a busy life, I am truly grateful to be part of this community.
