Hi everyone! I’m Kat Shaw, a lifelong San Diegan with a passion for education. I have 25 years in education, including global experience, teaching English in Chiba, Japan. I have a BS in Criminal Justice, BS in Mathematics, and a MS in Special Education. Currently, I’m a Doctoral Candidate. Outside of school, I cheer on the Buffalo Bills (along with all things sports!) and enjoy spending time with my amazing husband, two daughters, and our four rescue dogs (a furry pack ranging from 15 to 75 pounds!). As a family, we hike, travel, and shop 🙂 HGCS is now our home and we are so glad to be here!
