Hello my name is Kaylla Hawkins-Davis & I serve as the Dean of Students at Howard Gardner Community School. I bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to this role. I began my career at HGCS as a Paraprofessional, where I was able to developed a deep understanding of student needs and classroom dynamics. I am committed to student well-being and displayed through my exemplary skills in conflict resolution leading me to the position of Restorative Practices Coordinator. In this role, I was a champion for initiatives that promote a positive school culture through restorative justice principles, focusing on healing and community building. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Grand Canyon University and is currently advancing my expertise through a Master of Social Work program at National University. I am passion for trauma-informed practices and restorative approaches as well as, ensuring that every student receives compassionate and holistic support. As Dean of Students, I am dedicated to fostering an environment where social and emotional well-being, academic success, and harm reduction are prioritized. My leadership is characterized by my unwavering commitment to creating a safe, inclusive school community where all students can thrive.
