My name is Stacey Crawford, and I have six years of experience in early childhood development through my work at Army Child Development Centers on two different military bases. I began my career at the Child Development Center in Bad Kreuznach, Germany, where I developed and implemented play-based programs focused on strengthening social skills and cognitive development. I worked closely with a team to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that encouraged exploration, creativity, and self-expression among children from diverse backgrounds. Later, at Fort Hood, Texas, I expanded into leadership responsibilities. I assisted in training new staff, supported team collaboration, and strengthened communication with families regarding their child’s development and progress. This role enhanced my organizational skills, adaptability, and commitment to high-quality early childhood education. My special interests include social-emotional learning, play-based instruction, and creating inclusive classroom environments where children feel safe, valued, and supported. I chose HGCS because of the people. The sense of community, collaboration, and shared dedication to students is what makes HGCS special, and I am proud to be part of that team.
